I am not saying that I DO carry in post officers, but if I were to it would be concealed as per Texas law. Now if some crazy comes in and starts blasting people I have a means to deal with the situation. Dealing with future potential legal consequences, especially when I am within the law, would be secondary and conditional upon my survival of the incident.

If nothing happened while I was there, then the issue of carrying in the PO would bever come to light.

:patriot:
Now you know where I am coming from on situations like this...

Thats why you probably think (and rightfully so) I push the edge of that legal envelope sometimes...Not to say I intentionally break any law, its just that I too do not appreciate ambiguity in law that creates these quandries we see on a daily basis...

If I am committed to carrying a firearm for lawful purposes, my licenses and permits should be absolute confirmation to lawful authority, that my intentions are just that, lawful...And should never be questioned...

Do I really care if I can carry in a post office??? Not really...I do not go to them very often, but I do think its sad that when things like this happen, knowing there may, or may not, be something you should, or could, do in situations like this...You are really not allowed to by ambiguities in the law...

Thats what frustrates a lot of really good people...Who take very seriously their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...And deeply desire others to be able to choose to do so as well...

If you want to be a slave to the grind, then by all means take a simple test...

Turn back the clock about 200+ years and see if the current social and political climate would be tolerated longer than it takes for me to type this all up...

I doubt I would get through the first sentence...

Wouldn't it be great, now that it appears that we are gaining a originalist (conservative/constructionist) lean to the Supreme Court...That we have the chance to get some of these nagging ambiguities correctly defined...

It may not happen tomorrow...It may not happen this year...But it may happen, and we'll finally get our day in court...

In the mean time...People like us are still not the problem...Never have been, never will be...

I'm slightly encouraged...slightly...
