I went, just to be sure, and checked Alice's email address and it came right up and on the money...I'll add my voucher (for what its worth) for the validity of the email address and the effort here to collect this information, so that we can really see if there are some probelms with the system that we can streamline, or make more cost effective...
This concern has been going on for years, and it is cyclic in nature...We have had times where the turn around is really efficient and fast, and other times where it crawls, and we have major delays in processing initial and renewal licenses...
I made a suggestion years ago, that if there was some part of the process where a few of us dedicated citizens could help out and participate in a part of the system that did not require much in official training, certification or of course investigations...Any of those that required access to proprietary databases or information, of course that would not be something some of us should get into...But if there was some paper pushing, grunt work that could be done, I asked the Austin CHL office if there was something like that some of us could do...But that got squashed for some reason...I know why, but it's not important now...
I was told that the Austin office does hire, or staff some college students to do some of the work processing the packets coming in and other sundry work...So at that time I was kinda

Maybe now some cooler heads will prevail, and we can "fire drill" this thing and get it under control before we start having more problems...
But what do I know, right???
