But a locked door, in my opinion, only delays the inevitable...dihappy wrote:Although a gun, in and of itself, cant keep you safe; unlocked doors surely dont help :)pbandjelly wrote:Whereas, most of you self-proclaimed "gun nuts" have only the perspective that gun, in and of itself, can keep you safe.

Tell ya what...
As long as Grapevine Mills Mall has been on the anti-radar here and in a few other discussion boards, as long as I can remember...
I just can't see a reason to go there, because whatever I need that may be there I can get somewhere else...
And I'm not going to worry about where their 30.06 signs are, or their policies...
When I am visiting the Dallas area, and I need that "Mall" experience, I'll go to Town East Mall or many others that don't seem to have this negative fixation about guns...
Problem solved for me...
Sorry, I'm not disrespecting the discussion at all, I just think this one covered...
We could almost make this a sticky...
But thats just me...

I guess what doesn't surprise me, but rather irritates me to no end, is that the signs are HUGE!!!
Like they are trying to say something else with the size of the sign...
There's a term I like to use when I sense this "attitude" in people and other entities...But this is a "G" and "PG" rated forum, and I'd like to keep it that way...
I'll stick to going to the malls in my area...And even though they have their "seedy" side, at least when I have to go there, its just not an issue...
I'm sure those "Mills" malls are nice places, but I'm not feeding their coffers...There are plenty of "other" people who will...

Glad you checked that part of the issue out...I was a bit concerned that they were trying to push the envelope out a bit too far this time...txinvestigator wrote:Regarding the parking lots. There are no signs posted about firearms. I checked every entrance to mall property from a public street. I checked the parking lots, looking at the light poles and signs.

I have for years been hearing about this place...Arock wrote:Read reports the parking lots of Grapevine Mills Mall are posted as well. Report said mall security looks for customers walking back to their automobiles from the doors then blocking the cars until Grapevine police arrive at which time they are processed into the system. Would NEVER go there.
This little ditty of a story confirms there are all sorts of things wrong there, and would agree it would not be a place I would want to patronize...
Blocking my means of transportation, just because you see me come back out to my truck before going into the mall???
This place is up in the DFW area right???
