Doesn't that just give you the heebie-jeebies?!
Somebody is really going to have to explain the concept of how "quality control" is a time consuming part of preparing the case going to the GJ???

I mean I know they want to get all if not as much of the investigation and review completed before it is presented...But shouldn't QC kinda go along with all of that anyway???

To make a public statement mentioning that, gives me the heebie-jeebies all by itself...

I think we can correct this info with statements from the police report.

Neither suspect was armed, but one had a "center punch," a 6-inch pointed metal tool, in his pocket that might be used as a weapon, authorities said.
So obviously, a search of the crime scene and suspects did not produce a crowbar or a tire iron. These items were in the shooter's head.

Also another piece of info.

In another twist, investigators revealed that a plainclothes Pasadena detective witnessed the Nov. 14 shootings after he pulled up in an unmarked car seconds before Horn fired three shots from his 12-gauge shotgun......................."We now have a summary documenting what we think happened," said Capt. A.H. "Bud" Corbett. "We will turn it over to the district attorney in a couple of weeks after we do an extensive review for quality control."..........................Corbett said the plainclothes detective, whose name has not been released, had parked in front of Horn's house in response to the 911 call. He saw the men between Horn's house and his neighbor's before they crossed into Horn's front yard.
Corbett believes neither Horn nor the men knew a police officer was present. "It was over within seconds. The detective never had time to say anything before the shots were fired," Corbett said. "At first, the officer was assessing the situation. Then he was worried Horn might mistake him for the 'wheel man' (get-away driver). He ducked at one point." When Horn confronted the suspects in his yard, he raised his shotgun to his shoulder, Corbett said. However the men ignored his order to freeze. Corbett said one man ran toward Horn, but had angled away from him toward the street when he was shot in the back just before reaching the curb. "The detective confirmed that this suspect was actually closer to Horn after he initiated his run than at the time when first confronted," said Corbett. "Horn said he felt in jeopardy."
So now I have my question answered about where exactly were the police.
The beauty of the media and press again proves that news is not evidence...

Hmmmm, man with tire iron and a bag of stuff coming out of my nieghbors window to their house, heading straight for me...

I don't have a flat tire...

So I believe I have reasonably deduced that he is rapidly becoming a threat to my life and limb...I am not in fear, I am concerned...

I cannot place any other reasoning to their intent that isn't a stretch or fabrication...

Now all we have to do is see how much of an impact the 911 tape will have on this incident...

I just hope that neighborhood got some sort of restriction on assemblies by "anyone" on this issue...

Otherwise, when and if Mr. Horn is "no-billed" we do not see a repeat of L.A. after the Rodney King debacle...

But I only assume our society has grown up from that series of "people having nothing better to do than riot" syndrome...

I may be assuming too much...Breaking my own rule about it...

I heard, today, that the guys that our HERO shot were on a wanted list for violent crimes. Certainly not the innocent victims that QX pretends them to be.

Verrrrry interesting. Eventually, the truth will always come out.
Yep...Amazing how the backgrounds of the two deceased have been kept under wraps for as long as it has...

But then again, how, and why should we assume, or know anything about them if we were in Mr. Horn's shoes that day...

It is not an issue, they were observed actively committing a crime...And as far as I understand, there was every reason NOT to confront the criminals in that manner...But he did, they did not comply with his command to stop, and they made a threatening and aggressive movement against him...

As far as I am concerned there will hopefully be a national movement amoung the criminal community in this country that they'd better think twice about assuming a witness is NOT going to confront and agressively stop them if they are caught in the act...So bring on the exploitive folks like J.J. and the Al Sharptons...

The only damning thing I can think of in all of this is what he said, that is recorded on tape now...And I feel even that can be defended...

I believe the GJ has only a few things to decide here...

The one thing we might want to keep in mind is that Mr. Horn may not be able to live in that home again, much to the support and appreciation of his neighbors, regardless of the outcome of the GJ decision...And that to me is pretty sad...

Quanell X led a protest in Pasadena, Texas on December 2, 2007. The protest was held in front of Joe Horn's house, the man suspected of the shooting deaths of two burglary suspects. Quanell's speech included the exhortation for blacks to ignore "white law" and he led chants of "black power." Riot police had to be readied in event of conflict with the large number of counter-protesters who had gathered to oppose his arrival and support the home owner that is the center of the controversy

Saw that this morning...This is exactly what they want...They want it to go national in a big way...

Unless Mr. Horns neighborhood works fast...Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are going to be the next visitors...

I would prefer no one be able to exploit or defend this anymore in that subdivision...

We've made our statement, and it was done very effectively...Let the rest of them drag it out for all the wrong reasons...

But be prepared...If Mr. Horn is no-billed, you can rest assured its not going to be accepted by the Q10, J.J. and Al crowd unfortunately...And that probability alone is going to weigh heavy on any legal proceeding, and the politics of the issue that are being wrongly exploited will interfere with any resolution to this crisis...

The thing I would want to happen is to not allow anyone to protest or show support in that neighborhood anymore...

They looked to me like this is the last time they'll want to put up with this...No more from anyone...

“If you’ll notice, nobody with us has pushed anybody. Nobody with us has made a racial remark … It’s what I expected. It’s not what I wanted, but it’s what I expected, Quanell said.

Boy, if you want to talk about a comment that can be used against somebody, that sure looks to me like he's saying he wanted violence and race-baiting.
He lied, and there is video to prove otherwise as to whom incited and pushed and shoved first...

But when the playground mentality took over...Well, it was pretty much a free for all after they came back with the bullhorn...

I really hope the residents get that injunction or whatever from Judge Risner there in Pasadena today...

I don't think anyone needs to be disturbing those folks anymore! Regardless of where you fall on the issue...

More stuff...

http://www.khou.com/news/local/crime/st ... 72f2e.html

Looking back on this when Quannel the tenth came back and started blaring with the bullhorn, I thought to myself...

Did he get a permit to use a device to amplify his voice???

I know the city of Houston has an ordinance requiring a permit to use devices that amplify voices or sounds...

Don't know if Pasadena does or not...

I know its petty, but it would be interesting to see if that offence if he failed to comply with a city ordinance in that regard, that a citation could be written up for that...

Quannel the tenth incited a riot...If they had not shown up, there would have been no problem...I do not see their rhetoric going away anytime soon...

Those two deceased didn't need to burglarize that residence either...

There were a lot of things that didn't need to happen...But they did...

I believe this needs to be played as cool as possible...And if McMahon says this might not be a good thing to do...I would suggest we back off...As much as I like to counter Quannel, this may hurt Mr. Horn...And his nieghbors...

Lets see what happens...

If this goes down on Monday, well then Quannel and the folks running that show will win this round...Because most of us work for a living...Y'all get the idea... ;-)
