I carry everywhere I legally can. My pistol is becoming like my wallet. I figure as soon as I become able to guess when something is going to go wrong, I will start carrying it off and on...... ;-)

I read it the same as everyone else. Church is ok, as long as no 30.06 posted.

Is there any damage to the crown? I've heard that it doesn't take much wrong there to really throw one off.

Welcome.

"Why are those tabs sticking out of your bike shorts? And what is that lump?"

Sorry, that's just came to my mind when I thought concealed carry and cycling. ;-)

Enjoy your stay. I have been here for a few days. Good crowd here.

There is a very strong, very large pitbull that lives behind us. Anytime someone goes in our back yard, especially with our dog, the pitbull charges the fence and pounds against it. I have reported it, but nothing was done.

Now, if one of those boards pops loose you can bet he will meet his maker.

That's a tough one. I would be more inclined along the lines of letting things sort out and seeing what happens. If an attack took place, I would probably lean more towards Odin's plan of cracking his skull with a well placed blow to the noggin if I could do so without being cut. I would think the o...

When she cleared leather she found 2 employees and a customer with a bead on her. She holstered and departed forth wit. If she was going to be a student, didn't you have her info? Did she get charged for it? She was lucky that VERY calm heads prevailed and she got to walk out. This situation could ...

Have you considered letting your daughter try shooting a heavier .45? I was surprised that the recoil wasn't as bad as everyone said. Haven't yet. Maybe I should give her a spin on one and see what she thinks. She isn't afraid of recoil, as she shoots my sportsman weight 30-06 and hangs in there wi...

Daughter and I had the pleasure of being "snuck up on" in the next lane by a 454 casul. The guy had been shooting .45. The first shot was  My daughter dealt with it much better than I did. My groups went all over the place. Hers stayed much better. Like you said though. He didn't sh...

Thanks for the replies so far, and keep 'em coming.

Looks like I am going to be in the $780 and up price range for something I am looking for.

I am really liking the looks of the Springfields at this point.

1911 in 9MM?

So, what are the choices out there in 1911 frame 9mm? I have seen the EMP, but want something a little larger framed, and easier on the check book. My choice for 9mm stems from a couple of places. My PX4 is chambered in 9mm and I would like to keep the cartridges the same. Second, my 15 y.o. daughte...
