I am in the same boat as you, I have had mine for a little over a week now, have carried every day (except for the two nights I went out and had a drink) I am very paranoid that people are staring at me and I am also constantly checking my shirt to make sure it hasn't ridden up (of course it hasn't). I also feel like I walk weird.. not sure why... My biggest issue is sitting down in a restaurant.. I can feel it poking out a bit in the back, I know that I am probably the only one that notices but still makes me paranoid. I did though adjust the can't on my MTAC to fit my side a little better and I am feelin better.. I hope I get use to it as well.daniel2002p wrote:Well I have had my CHL for about two weeks now and I have to say I am sort of getting used to carrying and not freaking out every time I see a police car. My wally walk I had my XDm strapped in a IWB holster and I was sitting at a light when I saw a police cruiser behind me. For some odd reason my heart rate went through the room and for some reason I got really un-easy. Now I was completely legal here but for some reason it still caught me off guard. Also when I was grocery shopping I was constantly thinking "is my firearm printing" or "should I bend over and get that item from the bottom shelf".
Now I only had my CHL for a couple of weeks and it is getting better but it still feels kind of uneasy, and walking down the street past a police office while carrying somehow still gets my heart rate pumping, like I am doing something I am not suppose to. Bear in mind I have been around guns since I was knee high to a grasshopper and yet still gets me sometimes.
For those that have been carrying for quite some time, did you go through this as well?
