Re: Concealed carry at church in a school?
My church also meets in a school. IANAL but as I've read the applicable laws I agree with cruzer, a school is a school. I disarm before going into church.

Re: LC9 Grip Advice?
Before trading in the LC9 she might want to head to the nearest local gun show and try to sell it in a private sale. I was offered <$100 for my LC9 in trade value, but was able to sell it privately for $150. Since the LC9s came out the already bad trade in values on the LC9 have gotten even worse.

Re: Urge for a new 9mm...
I just got a Smith&Wesson M&P9 Pro with a 5" barrel (same size as glock 34), and I would highly recommend it. I wanted a long slide for target shooting/night stand duty. The pro has a much better trigger than the normal full size M&P also. I had a glock 21 for many years, but I neve...

Re: GHRA sending 30.06 & 30.07 signs.
I have not heard this. However, I have noticed 4 gas stations that I used to stop at fairly often are all now posted 30.06 and 30.07. All 4 prominently display their GHRA membership on the front of the store, and all 4 have the exact same signs.

Re: Dems Going After Texas
I find it funny that all of these people who move to Texas for jobs and opportunity would want to turn it into the very places they are leaving from. God bless ignorant Americans, and immigrants for that matter.

Re: Small carry gun Shield, LC 9, or a small Sig
LC9 . . . That being said I would recommend the Sig P938 to anyone willing to spend more money on their pocket 9. I've shot one and the trigger is much better. Even for larger hands? (I know gguess. . . sort of related to him. . . I'm about 6'5" and he's probably 6'2" or so. . . ) I'm ask...

Re: Small carry gun Shield, LC 9, or a small Sig
I carry an LC9 daily, either pocket carry with a desantis nemesis, or 4 o'clock inside the pants depending on my clothing for the day. I thought I would share a few observations: Reliability: In the 5 months I've been carrying the LC9 I've put just over 1500 rounds through it without a single malfun...

I changed my address in November. From making the change online until new card in hand was less than 2 weeks.

Re: Houston Gun Ranges
American Shooting Center also isn't too far from some very good steakhouses. Pappa's Bros., Smith and Wolensky, Ruth's Chris, and Sullivan's are all a 10-20 min drive down westhiemer.

Even at that, its incredible what people don't notice if they aren't paying attention. I holstered up right next to a friend of mine in my truck and he didn't notice. Stood talking to friends holding a fully loaded extra mag in my hand, and they don't notice. Took off my CTAC in front of friends an...

I am pretty sure American Shooting Center has shotguns for rent for skeet, trap and sporting clays.

Re: In my quest for a pocket pistol, I have questions...
I'd give the LC9 a second look, maybe try one with a working firing pin  . I've had mine for a month and put 800 rounds down range without a single malfunction. some 12gr blaser, 115 gr speer lawman, WWB, and 200 double tap 124gr +p JHPs. I agree with most reviewers that the trigger pull is far...

Re: gun locker
I have a stack on gun locker bolted to the floor of my house. It will keep an honest man honest, but it wouldn't stop and probably won't even slow down a dedicated thief. It will keep your guns away from your kids though.

Re: CHL holder in Louisiana saved police officer
This was actually Feb 2005 not 2006. Being from Baton Rouge I remember it well. It should be noted Perry Stevens (The Civilian who saved the LEO's life) had recently been in a severe accident, had difficulty walking and was wearing a neck brace at the time of the shooting. There is no way on Earth h...

Plastic came in yesterday. The website still shows application as yellow.BigGuy wrote:You'll know in a couple of days.
If you don't mind, post back here when you get your plastic. I'm sure the alert is just SOP, but it'd still be nice to hear from somebody who's actually got plastic in hand.
