A Titanic exhibit is coming to Shreveport, and as those are the only "local" channels we get in Texarkana, I've heard all about it. What sort of bring this back on topic is a comment made by reporeter Rick Rowe that some relative high percentage of the female passengers survived (75% I think) while only 20 something percent of the males survived. Rich or poor, educated or not, almost all of those men accepted that women and children were first to the life boats.
I wonder how that would play out today.
