Question from a Newbie
Hope ya'll don't mind a question from a newbie. If someone was trying to attack you with a knife, tire iron or similar weapon and you draw your gun and convince them to put the weapon down so you don't have to shoot them. Are you required to try and detain them and call the law or can you tell them ...

My first carry in public
My license came in on Friday evening and I was going to do the wally walk first on Saturday. Well, Friday evening just after opening my License, my wife wanted to run down and look at some travel trailers so I strapped it on and away we went. NO one noticed. Ha Ha, just couldn't wait, so I did the w...

Re: What is a proper response to this situation?
A warning probably won't diffuse an angry person already threatening you. An apology might. It lets them save face and keep their dignity intact and that is what is more important to many aggressors at that point. And you go home unharmed without having to shoot someone that day. Great advise, and ...

Re: I think I goofed
I'll be brief, everything is in order but I didn't send my paperwork certified. I put a stamp on it and dropped it in the mail. That was done on the 23rd and from what I've read the time frame is not out of line but right now I have no way of tracking it. Has anyone else done this? Thanks! I did th...

Re: What is a proper response to this situation?
Thanks for all the great responses. I also agree that saying to much or the wrong thing can get you in a lot of trouble. I guess warning is a bad idea, just thought maybe if it could defuse the confrontation where I might not have to pull my weapon, it would be worth a try. I would just want to make...

What is a proper response to this situation?
I wonder about altercations and how to correctly respond and what to say. If someone is threatening me to the point I have to warn them and I might draw my weapon, What do you say, hoping it might deter them where you don't have to draw. Stop, I will defend myself if you come any closer Stop or your...

Re: Reason you decided to get CHL ?
Copied from my post on another thread: Like several other have stated, hanging around this board has changed my perspective some. I now carry everywhere I legally can. I'm also going to move up from my .380, which I'll keep as a BUG, to a 9mm. Additionally I now carry a knife and pepper spray. (Mor...

Reason you decided to get CHL ?
Hello Everyone from a newbie here. My license was mailed last week and should be here today or tomorrow. I have never felt the need in my entire life to carry a weapon with me until a few months back. I'm 57 years old and have used guns all my life since about 8 yrs old. I am very proficient with al...
