At the beginning of this year, there were 324 active licenses held by persons age 18-20. In that age range, that's one Texan out of every 3,685, or 0.027%.

I'd imagine that those 324 chls are just like the rest of us. So the misgivings are likely as unfounded as anything else the antis are trying to throw at this.

This is nothing new. The increasing liberal stance of the media dictates that they play on half-truths at best. Yes, the written articles will mention the license requirement: once, near the bottom of the 5th paragraph, and with little to no mention of the minimum age requirement. The broadcast media may mention the license requirement as an afterthought if at all. What was once a venerable institution meant to stand as the public watchmen over the government has now become a complicit bedfellow of the group they were meant to scrutinize.

Today, watching the mainstream news for actual information is like trying to learn farming from watching Green Acres.
