Anyway. The argument that a renewal class every 5yrs keeps us up to date is a bit faulty since the legislature meets every 2yrs. I got my chl last Sept. So if I waited until 2017 to refresh my info, I'd be 2 legislative sessions behind and then get my renewed license before the 3rd session adjourned.
My life. My license. My responsibility. Removing a small bureaucratic step from the process is better. Besides, the chl class isn't really training in the first place. I'd simply a way for the state to be able to certify that that chl holder has received the required info.
