My check to the mandatory fingerprinting company wasn't deposited until 11 days after my fingerprints were taken. I suspect this might have something to do with the delay in DPS processing our files and updating the status website. What If they don't send the fingerprints in until after the check clears and if they don't deposit the check for 10 days? In the good ol days when state agencies required fingerprinting you could go to any one of the local police departments and pay them a nominal fee and get great service. Now we have affirmative action agendas steering business to exclusive vendors who could care less about customer service because they know they are guaranteed to get all of the business.

Gives you all kinds of warm fuzzies about Obamacare doesn't it?

The state already has run 2 background checks and has 2 sets of fingerprints on file for other licenses. I also have a Federal TWIC card which requires a background check and fingerprinting (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). Hopefully these previous Guvment checks will help expedite the CHL process.
