The 30 is still a decent carry gun. The extra rounds of .45 (over the other options mentioned) are nice. If you are comfortable with the width for IWB then I say go for it but if you aren't go for the Glock 36 and you won't be disappointed.

My Dad carries a Glock 36 (slim version of the 30). It's fantastic for carry and shoots wonderfully. Just as narrow as my Kahr CW45 as well as the new Springfield XD-S.
