Re: Guns, Family and Shooting

Interesting how 9mm is as hard to get as 380 was a while back. For what it's worth, the Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine had about 50 boxes each of 9mm, .40, and .45 today (all 50 round boxes of fmj). They also had about 20 boxes of .223. Other than that, it was bare bones with 95% of their pistol shelf...

Army Corp of Engineers/State Parks question

I have a question about ACOE land and state parks. Forgive me if this is an obvious answer, but I am fairly new to Texas and use of public lands. I am planning on taking my family to Eisenhower State Park in Denison and camping for a day. I have read some older stories stating this area used to be A...

Re: Alex jones debating Piers Morgan NOW CNN

I watched the two segments again, and seeing where Morgan was trying to lead the discussion I believe Jones had no choice. Morgan got exactly what he deserved. Jones could have eased up on the New World Order, global banking stuff but a lot of what he said needed to be heard. Nothing makes people m...

Re: Alex jones debating Piers Morgan NOW CNN

It was a sad display and I was truly embarrassed for his behavior as I have a few anti-gun friends/family and, by association, they have lumped me in with that dink.

Dallas Museum of Art (any updated info?)

I checked this website and Texas3006.com and the most recent info is over 2 years old. Does anyone know if the Dallas Museum of Art is still posted 30.06 or am I able to carry there? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

You are correct. I will edit my last post.
Why? I, for one, agree.

Unfortunately, you used my screenname and the words quoted from the OP. I in no way said any of those things above and my post was below his. Kindly edit your post to reflect that seeing as it is a misrepresentation of facts. My sincerest apology for the mistake. The post has been corrected. Thanks...

Re: Utah Teachers Concealed Carry

I just saw an article about free classes being formed for permitting Utah teachers to carry concealed. The law in Utah already permits concealed carry on school campus. What I am going to say next will certainly ruffle a few feathers on this forum, but that is ok. I am all for concealed carry. I ca...

Re: CT shooting - Pepper Spray? Taser?

I am trying to find something that can be done NOW. Right now. Guns in schools will take a long time if ever to get approved. The principal died throwing her body at the shooter. Pepper spray or a taser MIGHT have been able to do at least SOMETHING. Right? Better than nothing? AB Sure, better than ...

Re: CT shooting - Pepper Spray? Taser?

My concerns are how limited of an area of exposure both of those items need to be effective and, as you stated, distance. If a potential suspect is wearing bulky clothing then a Taser is absolutely useless. And, if you don't pepper spray them correctly you will not incapacitate them (again, dealing ...

Re: Best BBQ in Dallas area?

For the North Texas folk who haven't ventured into the other regions of the state for BBQ, I highly recommend DVRing "The Daytripper" on PBS on Saturdays. . That show is actually what prompted my search and then this discussion. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really want to try the Salt Lick ...
