I would say from what I have seen that the exception to this is JPFO, who promote firearms ownership. However, they are probably a small minority of the entire community. The Count wrote:And it does seem that the term "meek" or "passive" is exactly what we are seeing in reference to the American Jewish community. The American Jewish community ideas tend to lean towards any form of violence as being wrong, even in the defense of one's own self and family. This of course is not seen in some of the other Jewish communities of the world. Some of them seem to have learned from history and taken the idea of self preservation seriously.bdickens wrote:The Count wrote:baldeagle wrote:I'm not at all surprised. It is obvious that there is a oddly large number of Jewish people in the anti-gun movement. Though if you look deep enough, you will see that the Jewish community seem to be in full favor of a well armed government
Because it worked out so well for them in the 1930s and '40s.
Somehow, I don't think the Nazis could have killed six million of them if every time the Gestapo came knocking on the Goldstein's door they were met with a shotgun blast instead of meek compliance.
It is also doesn't help that in general, the American Jewish community doesn't have much of a "gun culture". Therefor making it much easier to side with gun grabbers. Much like how alot of the black community sides with gun grabbers since they associate gun ownership with gang/drug related lifestyle. Its the same old thing.... if they don't feel the need for it..... they don't mind that liberty being taken away.
