Seriously, I'll bet that Tierney thinks that since they have had them in movies for years, they must be commercially available at a cheap price.
I tend to want to assign ignorance to many individuals, rather than stupidity or malicious intent. I fear the reality is that some are simply stupid IMHO (think some well known reps in the House) and the others truly have malicious intent to tear down the country one piece at a time if that is what it takes.
