Re: need some Kahr PM9/CM9 opinions

I have a PM9 and really like it. It is my primary carry. I have more recently fired a friend's CW9. I'd probably rather have the add'l barrel length, but really don't feel like I'm missing out on much. I may at some point get a TP45 and cut down the grip to the CW/P length - basically an officer sized frame/commander length slide CCO type arrangement. That's a project for another day.

I find the kahrtalk website/forum to be very instructive and helpful. There are a few sticky threads over there on proper prep of the pistol that will iron out any break-in issues that might arise. The Kahrs are pretty tight and some have some FTF/FTE issues in the first couple hundred rounds. A couple of good guys on that forum go into a lot of depth explaining how to fix some magazine followers and other stuff. It's all easy dremel and sand paper type stuff.

The thinness of the Kahr pistols is fantastic for CC. If 1911s weren't so damned pricey in the more boutique models and had a thinner grip I'd own and carry 2 or 3 more of them, but Kahr is budget priced and great for what it is.
