Good luck with that! Your story won't work here!dwsintxs wrote:I have just sent an email to the State of California's Office of the Attorney General with the copy of the threatening email. Re: stay away from this product! Kore Essentials Belts
You ordered the wrong belt and then used it for which it was not designed! You are at fault not the company. I have no dog in this fight but people who screw up and then try to blame the company get no sympathy from me.dwsintxs wrote:warnmar10 wrote:That is you trimmed the end opposite the tongue end, per the instructions, but the tongue end is the one that is delaminating, correct?dwsintxs wrote:I definitely trimmed the correct end. There is NO doubt about that.
Further, your contention is; even if you were using your non-gunbelt belt to secure your holster, the tongue end (which is under no load or strain once the belt is cinched) should not delaminate under any circumstances. Using a non-gunbelt belt might reasonably be expected to cause problems somewhere else on the belt but not at the tip of the tongue. Is that more or less it?
That is exactly correct. I trimmed the correct end, and yes, no matter whether it is a gun belt or not, the tip should not be separating. I even sent pics to prove that to them. Apparently they are more interested in proving me wrong than taking care of a customer.
ALSO - whichever end is trimmed . . . .the belt is made of the same material from one end to the other, and NEITHER end should become separated even if weight is put on the belt in the middle or along the sides while wearing it. The tip end has nothing to do with the weight on another area of the belt.
They simply sent me a defective belt and are unwilling to admit it.
I have since asked them if they would like to send me a return label and that I would gladly send them back the belt AND the buckle (which they can resell to another customer) and I didn't even ask for a refund or replacement to do that. . . I was just trying to be nice, and they did not take me up on my offer, but did insult me by saying that I was being lame by trying to 'take the high road.'
Apparently this company is deeply entrenched in the idea that they never make a mistake, and any customer with a complaint is always wrong. My advice to anyone looking for a gun belt (or dress belt) and considering theirs is to be aware that their products (at least the ones that i have experience with) can be defective and that IF you buy from them, do not expect any typical customer service attitude of 'help the customer' . . instead you'll be told that you are wrong. I've bent over backwards trying to get this solved, but there comes a point in dealing with some companies that you realize that once they have your money, they are done with you.
Once again, to be clear. . . I think their belt idea is awesome, and I really loved it for the week or so that I wore it. . . I still wish I had one that wouldn't fall apart, I would gladly wear it and tell other people about their product but they don't seem to care about that.
They did send a somewhat taunting email saying that my posts on this web site and others had 'backfired' on me by providing them with a huge spike in sales. I guess that means that they would like MORE dissatisfied customer postings to drive up their business even more? LOL I found that boast to be particularly stupid.
They DID offer me a 'discount code' to get a discount if I ordered another belt, but I am not inclined to throw good money after bad, so I declined that offer.
It just seems to me that any company that would go to these lengths to NOT take care of a customer shows that they have poor business sense, and just about zero customer service sense.
Buy from them if you want but if you need customer service from them, you are SOL.

How is it the companies fault that the OP purchased a dress belt instead of the gun belt then used it for what it was not designed to do?

Re: stay away from this product! Kore Essentials Belts
Just ordered a Bigfoot gunbelt myself as my beltman belt is showing signs of wear. I got the 18oz with steel insert. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up.rotor wrote:There are many fine gun belt recommendations on this site. I will not comment on Kore. I purchased a belt from Bigfoot Gunbelts http://gunbelts.com/ and am very happy with it.
