Re: Is this 30.06 sign posted at Wholefoods compliant?
I think the only question is, does the sign meet the intention of the law. I would say yes it does and believe any Judge or Jury would agree. The notice has all the correct verbiage necessary to make it enforceable IMHO. There is nothing in that store that I can't get somewhere else. Regardless the sign is close enough that I won't chance incurring legal fees.

My interpretation is it meets the intent of the law. I have better things to do then spend money in court.dapark71 wrote:I agree that taking a chance is not a good idea. I have taken another photo and placed a quarter next to the sign for your information.

There are very few places that are the sole providers of items I need to purchase. This for the most part means I have an option to go elsewhere.
I'm with JMRA. I know what the law says. However, I'm not about to stand up in front of a jury (or judge) and say that the lettering was 1/4" off or whatever the technical issue was. It's like missing the forest for the trees.

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings today with a buddy of mine. He calls me back after I walk in and says look at this lettering on the outside of the door on a little window. It says something like BWW doesn't allow guns on premises. I said interesting but it doesn't come close to being in compliance with Texas requirements so we ignored it. He had not seen it before and wanted to show me. No attempt by BWW to comply with state law so I didn't care and treated it just like a gun buster sign.
