Good to know; our God-given, Constitutionally protected Second Amendment rights are worth a free boat ride and some free booze.

Even if this bill passes the Senate, it has to go to the house and pass there as well prior to being sent to Obama. I don't see that happening.

Of course I didn't see Obamacare being upheld as constitutional so what do I know.

Yes, but Ted Cruz was only considered because Kay Bailey Hutchison was leaving the Senate of her own accord. IOW, we did not un-elect her to put Mr. Cruz in, she left and we used the opprutunity to get someone better. Unseating an encumbant is difficult to say the least.
