 yeah, I have to keep my wife in the dark as well... I'm trying to come up with a story for my latest purchase

I don't live near Katy, but I do have some friends in the area that want to go shooting. I don't plan to set foot at that place, if my friends want to go there, I won't join them.

I buy 95% of my ammo online, so what this guy was proposing didn't resonate too well with me... for firearm purchases, I do support my local gun shop(s), even if they're a bit overpriced (they're a nice bunch, and I appreciate their experience, input and enjoy the conversation).

Re: Local Gun store owner supports ammo ban

Also that ammo must be purchased at a brick and mortar store just like firearms, which I am not totally opposed to.
That ain't true and I think this guy perfectly knows that... he isn't very good at damage control!

Here's a link to the interview: http://www.ktrh.com/player/?mid=22310941" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (audio)

So, since the mail-order outlets were going to go out of business, the ammo manufacturers were going to sell to him at a lower price... and he was going to pass the savings onto his customers. :woohoo What a nice fella! :biggrinjester:

I don't think they do much mail order ammo sales; it's mainly a range and store... so, the owner may think that, if passed, the proposed ban may boost their sales of ammo. I think it's the other way around: cheap ammo may boost customers going to the range to shoot.

Given in on this will have disastrous consequences... the libs will see it as a huge victory and continue pushing for more. :nono: :nono: :nono:
