Not a problem for the officer at all. You pulled the bolt after you stopped, and before the officer got to your car?

I agree! That could have ended badly if he actually saw what you were doing. I keep my insurance card in the visor above my head for quick access. Once I've got that and my DL and CHL, I don't move around much at all.
