Check your certificate when you get it I got mine yesterday has wrong expiration date still shows 12/31/2019 instead of 2021. I sent them an email but will probably have to call them next week. Just knew something would go wrong just too easy this time around.

Re: PC46.03-Clarification?
This was talked about in my CHL instructors class way back but the Captain that taught the class said that that was how the Travis County DA interpreted the law and his point was that each County has a different flavor of prosecutor and that some were anti gun and as a CHL holder you would be treate...

Re: Class Held by Expired CHL Instructor
Just got a call from one of our students she took our class back in April 2013 when my Partner was instructing the class. She said that DPS sent her a letter same as the above stating that the instructor was expired. My partner no longer teaches he let his cert expire Dec 2013. But he was an instruc...

Re: instructor range qual
I don't have any problems with the instructors either except with the issue of push off test and how they told my class to do them without any clear instruction or warning that you can break someone's gun if you use too much force. I was just warning him since he mentioned that it was his grandfathe...

Re: instructor range qual
Just be careful DPS is big on push off test and they fail to understand that any revolver will push off with enough force and that sears tend to break if someone pushes it too hard and makes it push off. Some old guns cannot be fixed do to the lack of parts availability The push off test is when you...

Re: CHL Renwal Apps before Sept 1
I had a student go online and do the renewal she also got the check list that had the CHL-100 listed on it. This student went to the FAQ section and there she found a note that said to disregard the CHL-100 and something about the software is waiting for an upgrade to take the CHL-100 off and until ...

Re: Need help DPS Absent
I need to clear up a few things. The case is not about me and I am not under investigation. The case is where a CHL holder was arrested and told the prosecution that he had never had any training in Texas on CHL laws and did not have a Texas CHL. The guy was in one of my December classes, now I have...

Re: New NRA Instructors - Receive Credentials Yet?
Hello all I have been on the forum for a while but have never posted just reading and learning. I contacted the NRA about my instructor credentials and they replied to me and I am posting the email they sent me. I have since received my credentials but I kept the email just for situations like this....

Re: Windy day for proficiency !
Clear plastic garbage bags over the target can be used on windy days and rain days. We shoot even in the rain as long as it is not real hard and no lightening. Comes from old police days we were taught you can't pick your light conditions and your weather when you need to defend yourself.
