I couldn't agree more. My heart goes out to all of these families. I don't blame them for their words in these hearings - I realize that they are filled with grief, still trying to grapple with the loss of their children. I don't think any of us could ever understand what they are feeling unless we were in their shoes. I do know that they will go through periods of over-thinking and "what if-ing" this to death, and that is perfectly understandable. I don't mind listening to them express their feelings & emotions - they need to let that stuff out. If they want to blame guns, I won't agree with it, but I will respectfully listen with compassion as they try to make since of their unimaginable loss. I do, however find it tragic that that in addition to their loss, they are being played like pawns by zealous politicians.
The whole thing truly breaks my heart. I've shed many tears over this whole thing.
