Re: Alliance Air Show
They used to post 30.06 on their website, which is not enforceable. I guess they don't do that anymore? I've always carried out there. I believe last time I went there, it was a security checkpoint (manned by JROTC) where they look in your bags. No metal detectors, and it certainly does not meet any...

Carrying in the office
That time you have an itch under your ankle holster in the office, and there's literally nothing that can be done to scratch it.

Re: Custom AR Rifle cycling problems
I had a similar situation with a custom AR. It turned out that when I changed the endplate (so I could add a QD sling), I reinstalled the buffer tube one turn too short, causing the bolt to travel just a hair too far back. Once I tightened it one more turn, I haven't had any issues since. That may o...

The monorail isn't open 120 days a year because it keeps breaking down.

Re: Are the new 30.06 signs valid now, or not until 2016?
Gentlemen, if someone makes you with a firearm, you're doing it wrong. I was concerned with the legality, as I was meeting people inside, I was with my wife and children, and had parked offsite in a fringe area not on Hilton's property. I needed to make a quick decision whether or not to return to t...

Re: Are the new 30.06 signs valid now, or not until 2016?
Thank you Charles. That is how I understood it. I wanted to get some concrete advice, as I needed to make a quick enter/return to the car decision in a fairly sketchy fringe area. Thank you for the quick response!

Are the new 30.06 signs valid now, or not until 2016?
I'm outside of the Anatole in Dallas with my family. I just noticed that it is posted with the new 30.06/ 30.07 signs, but the old (current) ones are gone. Am I good to enter? I'm at an event with my family and we have had to park offsite.

Re: Smart Guns on 60 Minutes
And the only "smart" gun I'm aware of only comes in .22lr. True, but if there were a market, it would be made in the calibers we desire. I think I'm with everyone here is saying I have concerns about: 1. Reliability 2. Cost 3. Interference - could these RIFD's (or whatever technology woul...

Dr. Ben Carson on Gun Control following the OR shooting.
http://www.wfaa.com/story/news/politics/elections/2015/10/06/ben-carson-gun-control-snowden-trump/73370350/ A few interesting quotes: 1: the lesson of the nation's latest mass shooting isn't to enact more limits on guns but to consider whether gun-free zones actually may be drawing shooters. 2: Car...

Re: Going to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving
Any other things I should know about? 1. Yes 2. Yes Any other things I should know about? OK is pretty close to TX as far as our laws go. You do need to inform an officer. There is no legally enforcable "no guns" sign, but you can be asked to leave just like here in TX. Don't carry in cas...
