I looked into red dot at one time, thought for the money range time with iron sights a better investment. I have a friend that carries a Glock 19 with a Holosun everyday. He finally got me to try it a few weeks ago. The target was one of the 5 bullseyes on 1 target. I picked the upper right and slow fired 15 missed shots, they raved about my tight group that was in the center of the target. At 7 yards if it was a defence shooting I would be dead relying on a red dot. No way no how on a carry pistol. My friend is former pd and shoots on a regular basis. Red dots are to me like adaptive cruise, adaptive braking and lane departure systems on newer cars. It is fun while it works but it is destined to fail at the most inconvenient of times.
