maybe so (in your words) but this man has stood on the wall so you have the right to talk free so go praise the man that ran; just seems fitting for you.jmra wrote:I think someone fell off their barstool and hit their head.

Re: CHL Holder in Mall Attack... video
We were fuel and electrical people but we were ready to fight at any time we were needed and that is why we were rangers (in our mind) in every sense of the word. We carry guns and we trained but we did our job; to support our brother and sister in arms. Say what you want but when the calling came we went to the field WITH our guns on my back to fix or fight.Keith B wrote:You mean Fuel and Equipment repairer, not ranger. And, the difference is even spending time in the Army makes a difference on training. CHL's are not trained to fight or do anything but basically safely handle a gun and try to defend themselves if attacked. No matter, you think you would have been able to do something, but unless you are in the situations you really don't know what you would do. There is an old saying that fits here, 'Fools rush in where wise men fear to tread'. Sometimes NOT doing something is better than making it worse if you don't really know what to do.barstoolguru wrote:63G... F&E ranger, what does that matter? When I hear of this guy and how he didn't do anything I think of Susanna Hupp and Killeen, TX... what if? What if one person did something more than they did. You all want to pump his ego while he sits on that couch in shame then do so but don't expect me to do so
for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing and he accomplished that
Do you need CHL to want to do right? I don't see it; the teachers of that town protecting those kids didn't have training but did what was right. He was a coward plain and simple, real men run scared but real men stand up and fight even scared. real men died so you all have the right to sit here and tell the rest of us what a good man he was for just looking at the guy and then going to hide in a store not knowing if the shooter is going to shoot some more. Real men in the face of danger stand up and fight back not think about them self. He’s a security guard... fail ....he wants to be a cop....FAIL... he want to be a janitor....winner
Here is a man that is supposed to be a sheepdog and turned out to be a sheep in sheepdog’s clothing… someone get him a rock

Re: CHL Holder in Mall Attack... video
You have a gun and he has one too and his is jammed BUT you freeze and run for cover... I have to say he didn't need a CHL or a gun to protect himself because he was too busy hiding.Pretty easy to criticize from a barstool when you're not in the situation. Until you are there yourself, you don't know what you will do. Trust me, I know.
Like I said we seen teachers die for their students while under fire to protect them so sorry if a can't jerk a tear for this coward
How do you train for getting shot at and if I remember right Alvin York was told to retreat and he refused and charged?Umm...yeah! They were infantry soldiers. They are trained for this exact thing. Going above and beyond is to each individual soldier. Even the military knows when to fall back, reassess, and build up a counter.

Re: CHL Holder in Mall Attack... video
so was Audrey murphy or Alvin York trained for what they did. Warriors are forged on the battle field but heroes are found in the most unlikely places. He could have shot up in the celling, could have yelled, could have done something but he chose to go hideThey train LEOs for this type of situation
we seen teachers with no training (woman, god bless them) and men die to protect others so say what you want this guy needs to find a rock

Re: CHL Holder in Mall Attack... video
Not me, like I said he choked. Fine he made a decision not to shoot because of other behind the shooter and that is commendable but to go and hide in a store is just wrong when you are the only thing stopping him from shooting more people and he want to be a cop...Wrong. Never give up never surrender, this guy is only showing his face because the shooter killed himself, if he would have shot someone else we would have never heard from him. What if he is a cop and chokes when a fellow cop is in the line of fire or worse, cover his butt if you want I have no respect for him. God forbid if someone lets him be a coppbwalker wrote:from the comments:
What is wrong with people?! Again, a CHL is not a batman license. You are not a LEO. You have no obligation to do anything other than protect you and yours. You can armchair quarterback it all you want, but in the end, you are nothing more than an Internet Commando, wannabe tough guy.he choked plain and simple, I didn't want to shoot because of other people" that fine but to leave and hide in a store is not...thats a choke. if anything run up on him and cap his <expletive>
I swear, I need to stop reading the comments on these articles and videos. They make me angry sometimes.
