Then, this last time, at U.S. Customs when applying for the Customs bypass (shorter line) status, and the machine didn’t give a readable print, they inputted the computer “prints waived”. Now, when bypassing the regular Customs line, I scan my passport at the special kiosk, stick my hand in for printing, and the usual sheet of paper comes out, but with a large X across it. Then I give the reject sheet to the special agent nearby, he sees the X, scans my passport on his scanner, sees “Prints Waived”, and motions me on my way.
