Re: Daniel Defense M4's are hard to find now...
I already own a DDM4V1 and love it. I paid $1199 for it in March or April of 2011. I want another one. Maybe a V3. I can't find them anywhere. Almost all are dealers are out of stock, and if they have one, it's pricey!!! ($1599 or more) Is this due to the fear of government after the Aurora shootin...

Advice on shotgun rail
Guys,
Need some advice. I've got a Mossberg 510 mini that I put a pistol grip on and want to mount a flashlight to it. What rail would be easiest/best to mount? Using it for HD for the wife (that's why I've got a youth shotgun). Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Gun Range Demanding Too Much Personal Info
Today I visited a new range in the area and was given a form asking for name, address, home & cell phone number, drivers license number (& let them make a copy ), & email address. I told the lady at the counter I would give my name & city and would leave if that wasnt good enough. S...

First multi state trip with the CHL
Recieved my CHL one week before we went on vacation to Florida. The day before we left I recieved my Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe. I strapped on the Supertuck and started the drive stopping in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and ultimately Florida just so I could say I carried my gun in all the stat...

Completed my first walk about
Went to Ross and tried on clothing on my first time out. Everything went great. Then went to Target and Fuzzy's Tacos. I think if I can cycle through trying on 10 or so pairs a pants and shorts without getting nervous and walking through target for over an hour.....it was a successful first outing. ...

Re: Is this legal?
So, while the law may say this or that when it comes to when you should shoot, my personal rule of thumb is only shoot if I feel that myself or some other innocent person may not walk away from the situation if I don't shoot. That way, no matter what I have to deal with on the legal side, I have le...

Re: school grounds question
It is important to note that your CHL must be issued by the state in which the school zone is located. IOW, if you have an out of state issued CHL, even though Texas may have reciprocity with that state, you are not exempt under federal law. I am not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice. http://en...

Plastic in hand---sort of
Just got a phone call from my wife. Plastic came in the mail today :woohoo Can't utilize it until I get off of work though-in 11 days. I work on an oil rig so fall into the illegal to carry/possess at work category. However as soon as I get home, WallyWorld here I come. :anamatedbanana DPS recieved ...

Re: Opinions on OWB or IWB
Welcome to the forum Stumpjumper. I have carried both IWB and OWB and I like OWB better. I'll also second the gun belt and a decent holster. Gun belts have a fairly wide range in price, but look at it like this. The money you pay for good equipment can keep you from being outed and will be more com...

Re: Ace Case Holsters
Thanks for the info. I have a crossbreed supertuck ordered but wanted something until it comes in. With the crossbreed being three or four weeks (ordered April 29th), I wanted to try to find something fairly inexpensive to get me by until it comes in. I have a Fobus but don't really want to use it f...

Anybody used an Ace Case Holster? They have a great deal but it seems that when something is this cheap there's a reason why.

Re: CHL class
My CHL class was horrible also. If I had not read the CHL statutes and penal code on use of force/deadly force; I would have left my class believing that you could spill blood for any little grievance-no joke. My instructor must have told us 10 different times to put the bad guys guts on the ground-...

Couldn't find anything? :headscratch Searching "good" "gunbelt" yields 107 hits. Searching "good" "gun" "belt" yields 1398 hits. I've heard the 5.11 instructor belts are good, but don't know about the operator belt. you got me on the search. Didn't ...

Belts
I know this is probably opening a can of worms but what is a good belt. I purchased a 511 operator belt but don't know if that's a good choice or not. I'm sure that this has been beat to death but I couldn't find it anywhere. Sorry for the noob question.
