Re: Wife Being Sized Up for Robbery
On Sunday we were on our way back home from vacation. We had stopped in Hope, AR to get fuel and grab a bite of lunch. We passed through Hope on the way back to Austin on Saturday, have made the trip several times. Whatever reason have always avoided Hope, don't really know why. Another case of a d...

Re: Police Now “Armed For War” Against Returning Veterans
The biggest challenge in dealing with PTSD is as you said it's looked at as a disease or disability. The stigma that surrounds it is the #1 reason I feel vets are unwilling to seek help and that needs to be fixed. I agree with you, I'll never allow myself in a VA hospital. Its like you said in your ...

I didn't have to be told he is a kook. That's a conclusion I came to on my own years ago.Redneck_Buddha wrote:It's Alex Jones, so it couldn't possibly be true! Here's an idea: let's completely dismiss the words of someone we've been told is a kook. That'll give us a well rounded perspective! <\sarcasm>

Re: Police Now “Armed For War” Against Returning Veterans
I wrote about Vietnam veterans this morning, because I know those statistics off the top of my head. I didn't write about younger veterans, because I wasn't as sure. Now I am. Suicide rates among younger vets are no different than the general population. http://archive.redstate.com/stories/war/a_su...

Re: What kind of signage in Mississippi?
Wow, reading through that got me curious. Mississippi has two sepretate classifications? Standard and enhanced. Looks like the enhanced endorsement requires basically the same thing Texas already does and allows you to carry just about ANYWHERE (minus police, sheriff, and detentiton facilities etc) ...

Re: Way to go, Volunteers! (Open carry passed TN Senate)
There are many areas of Memphis you need to openly carry 2 side arms and an AR-15 if you get out of your APC. :banghead: I think this will meet a ton of opposition. When the bill to allow concealed carry in restaurants that served even small amounts of alcohol was introduced there were numerous res...

Re: Way to go, Volunteers! (Open carry passed TN Senate)
While I don't bleed orange, I grew up around and attended the University of Memphis, I will always love Tennessee. My parents and siblings still live there and we travel back to the burbs of Memphis quite often. Glad to see that the state is attempting to make strides towards giving citizens their n...
