My wife's brush with "the law"
My wife got pulled over by the local PD (Flower Mound) for doing 38 in a 30. After digging in her purse for a minute, she handed over her CHL and explained to the officer that she had left her DL in her jeans after our trip to ShootSmart. He asked her if she was carrying at the time, which she wasn't as she was on her way to teach an exercise class, and had nowhere she was comfortable keeping her pistol while teaching (she doesn't like leaving it in the car).
They had a short chat about how does she like her pistol, how long she's been shooting, and then a very brief explanation that there's a small stretch of the road she was on that's 30 instead of 40. She was not ticketed, nor was the word "warning" ever used.
She was almost giddy when she called me later to tell me about the stop.
