The article starts out by saying her math is wrong. It states that an increase of 50% on the tax is not a 50% tax on ammunition, but rather an increase from around 6% to around 9%. Well, she was right and the writer was wrong. The bill calls for a 50% tax on ammunition rather than an increase of 50% to the current tax.

He is right that there is no provision to exempt military and law enforcement. I can imagine if there was, military personnel and LE would be buying and selling ammunition at a deep discount.
