They are like armor plated possums.
They have hairy bellies. No armor on the bottom. When I was a kid I dispatched a lot of 'em. A head shot with a .22 wouldn't kill them immediately. I saw one rooting around once with a week old, nickel size hole in his head from a .22 HP.
