Thank you Scott for that bit of encouragement, I guess I fear most is the investigators will say hey this man has 2 similar charges maybe he can't control his temer, but that is not true. And they will deny me even though I meet the standards, I guess my next move is to go and try to purchase a brand new weapon that I will carry concealed in truck or on person if I can buy that is ---if I can then get started on all paper work--- I have court docket copies of the 2 incidents now so in the next week I will get started on that purchase . Forgot to say I have no convictions because I was able to buy a few guns after the 87 deal but can't remember if I got my last gun before or after the 2000 deal.Also I am not a person who stays angry they were nothing that a lot of guys have been through Thank you.

I hate to ask this ? because yall have seen many times but I would like some imput so here it goes, I have an arrest in 1987 battery on spouse I slaped my x wife after she and I yelled for 36 hours I left a couple of times but when i came home she started up again she spit in my face when i was going to bed she wanted me out of the navy and she got her wish i got a OTH DISCHARGE from the NAVY we all know some men are good guys but SOME women do stuff to punish their hubbies.I got 3 months probation. And in 2000 assault on a family member causing bodily injury (jerked wifes purse to get my credit cards and I broke a press on nail her dad called after this she was upset and he called the police) i have not been in any trouble since and yes we are still together. they are the only times i have been arrested, i got 6 months probation and it has been dismissed (it was a deferred ajudication before it was dismissed) do I have a chance of buying a gun and getting a TEXAS chl ? I have been searching all over the web for good post some say yes some say no but i have been looking. Can anyone here help me out with some good info ? Thanks for all ahead of time.
