Congratulations! My experience is similar (but different). After many years of waiting, my beautiful wife got her US citizenship in 2010, and cast her first-ever US presidential ballot about a week ago during early voting.Divided Attention wrote:I was so proud when I walked up to vote, handed over my ID, and when I went to sign in I saw where my oldest child had voted in her first Presidential election! I almost cried. She is very patriotic, and very proud to be American. Made my heart swell! She texted me when she was done, but I was busy with work, and it didn't really sink in until I saw her signature right below her Daddy's!
