Just moments ago, these these two guys come by knocking on my front door and wanting to know if I want to buy some steaks. I live in a small town with a population just a little over 300 people. I am always on the defensive and a tad bit skeptical when someone I don't know arrives at my home knocking on the door. These same guys have been in the neighborhood before, several months ago, but I don't think they stopped at my residence at that time because I just so happened to be out in the yard at the time open carrying, which I sometimes do when I am on my own property. I have always been one to buy my meat at the grocery store and would never entertain the idea of buying off of one of these trucks that randomly cruise the hood trying to make a sale. I was really surprised that they even stopped at my house. I would have thought that they might remember the last time they were in the area. Obviously they didn't, or are just awfully brave. I reccognized the young lad that was at the door as being the same one I saw last time. He even mentioned that the last time they were in this town that my neighbor had bought some items from them, which I remember eyewitnessing as I went about my business in my own yard. I greeted him at the door with handgun in hand, hiding it behind the door. He never knew it, but nonetheless I was prepared as I always am when some uninvited person comes around. I'm sure others here on the forum have encountered meat sales people in the past. Do you folks ever buy from them? Just curious.
