She's had a 1 hour handgun safety class with range time but there was no certificate or anything like that.

Your CHL timeline is pretty quick. Why is she waiting?

Money and there is a slight language barrier. I have one CHL instructor here that has agreed to let me sit-in on her class and "interpret" for her but it has been very difficult to get the schedules worked out. She definitely wants her Texas CHL (just because it's Texas ).
