I originally bought mine without the combat cut. After rubbing a raw spot on my thumb practicing my draw I called Crossbreed about "adding" the combat cut. I thought about doing it myself but I figured for $7 plus shipping it one way it was worth it to let them do it. I had it back in a week and couldn't be happier. Highly recommended.TrackinPat wrote:Any of you that have a Crossbreed holster, did you get it combat cut? I was practicing carrying around my house and I noticed it is a pain in the butt to actually get my thumb in between the leather and my gun.. granted they are jeans that fit me snug WITHOUT the holster in them so I need to go up a size but it does concern me...

Re: Suggestions for a gun belt?
Since you have a Crossbreed holster I'm guessing you know they also make decent belts. When I got my Supertuck about 18 months ago I also got one of their belts and it has served me well. I also picked up a Wilderness 5 stitch Instructor belt around the same time but wasn't as happy with it. The belt itself is fine and of high quality, I just didn't like the way the belt threaded back onto itself through the buckle as opposed to the traditional belt. It didn't lend itself well to my particular setup.TrackinPat wrote:Not a stupid question because I didn't specify! I recently got an Ares Ranger belt, and while I'm still getting used to it, I think I'm going to be very happy with it. The main reason I didn't like the Instructor belt is having to unthread the webbing through the buckle every time you need to undo your pants. If you carry a knife or anything else between 12:00 and about 2:00 like I do this can be a nuisance. I tend to wear the same pants or shorts with the same gear more than once, so being able to set up and only have a buckle to deal with instead of threading/unthreading the belt through the buckle every time is a bonus.
