Most retirees I know are Republican. I believe two that I know are staunchly Democrat. I'm no representative cross section, but that puts the retirees I know massively on the conservative side of the spectrum, to the tune of around 90%.

LEOs are government workers, right? I don't live in incorporated Houston, and know only a couple of HPD officers casually. If I had to guess, I'd say one is mildly liberal, one is mildly conservative. I do know a few Harris County deputies fairly well, and I'm pretty sure not one of them classify themselves as Democrats.

Re: DNC BURNING THEIR HOUSE DOWN

Thanks to ELB and something a Fox commentator did gave me an idea, I think I know how to unite all the delegates at the DNC! The new campaign logo:

The Hillary/Bernie Allied campaign for president.

That's the ticket!

Re: DNC BURNING THEIR HOUSE DOWN

The gavel is down on today's activities. And at least the early stages could be very interesting to watch. The expectation is that there will be a full, state-by-state roll call--to dispel any question of "rigging" or collusion "rlol" --and that Vermont will be left until last. At which point Bernie will take the podium and call for a consensus vote and ask all delegates to cast their votes for Hillary. The undercurrent feeling seems to be that a fair percentage of those 40% of delegates who voted for Bernie are going to be vocal about it and vote Hillary.

I think there are some angry Bernie supporters on the floor, and party disunity could be prominently on display. I may even fire-up up the DVR, just in case.

I do not, however, plan to stay tuned-in to watch the first potential First Gentleman take the podium...

Re: DNC BURNING THEIR HOUSE DOWN

I tried to watch for a while tonight; was set on seeing Bernie's speech. But I couldn't take it. After less an hour my TV was in dire danger of having a book or lamp or shoe...something thrown through it.
