Yeah; they seem to be pretty consistent about not price gouging. If they have product in stock, they seem to keep a reasonable lid on the profit even if the general market price has started to swing. I bought my recent Spike's lower from them (picked it up in-store, so no shipping but there was, of course, sales tax) in part because they had it listed at a few dollars less than Spike's (PA's pricing hadn't bumped), and partly because Spike's was showing a four to six week wait if ordering directly.

And, dangit, you've reminded me I should go look at their site for a couple of other items...

BTW, I ordered 1,000 rounds of range ammo from Freedom Munitions on June 22, and the order status is still "pending." Right after my order, their website posted a notice that, due to high volume, orders were taking 5 to 7 business days to process; then it changed to 7 to 10 business days; then to "7 to 10 business days or more."

I don't blame Freedom Munitions. I have every confidence they're moving as fast as they can. But it seems clear they got slammed with orders. Out of their 21 different offerings of .223, 15 are out of stock...and one of the in-stock items is a tracer round.

I ordered 1,000 rounds of 5.56 from Freedom Munitions. Don't need it. Probably won't shoot it in the next five years. But I'll have it...stacked on top of my other ammo cans.

Picked up a couple of items today from my friends in Pearland (south Houston) at Primary Arms (http://www.primaryarms.com/). Magpul front and rear flip-up MBUS and an AXTS Raptor charging handle, all on sale at great prices BTW.

Informed sources say that Primary Arms will stock, in two to three weeks, SOTA Arms (https://sotaarms.com/) billet machined stripped lowers--with a USA flag emblazon--in the $90 range. I repeat: billet machined stripped lowers for $90/$100.

I have no experience with SOTA Arms, but what's the deal with complete/component AR manufacturers coming out of Minnesota recently? Add Alex Pro Firearms (http://www.apfarmory.com/) to the mix.

Minnesota is darned cold, dangerously cold, in the winter.

So, Andy, remember that I was buying a couple of lowers with no planned build in the near future? Yeah; sure. Like I really thought I could just tuck away a lonely lower on a shelf in the safe and leave it alone.

Should have all the parts and the new AR built in two or three weeks. Maybe I can squeeze it into the safe without having to buy a second one. If not, my desire to have an extra lower or two is going to become a very expensive choice: new PMags, new lower, new upper, new barrel, new fore-end, new BUIS, new red-dot...and new safe.
