Yep; same here. That file, phpbb_search_wordlist.MYI, is the mySQL index file of potential terms for use by the search utility; it should be updated dynamically as new postes are made...and that's why assume we're all seeing the error message when we hit "submit," but then when we go back to the boards we see that the message really did post.

I know virtually nothing about mySQL and phpBB, but if I were having the problem I think my first step would be to look at the file to make sure designated ownership didn't change during the upgrade (meaning Charles's mySQL user identity still owns it) and then check the file permissions, CHMOD in Linux. There is a simple PHP routine that can be executed to attempt to automatically repair teh SEARCH_WORD_TABLE (what the table was named back in version 2) and its associated files, including the .MYI index, but I don't know if the older version I have is suitable for Olympus. Browsing around at http://www.phpbb.com/support/ should turn up an answer, though.
