Re: FFL West Houston
Just another update! As always the staff at DefCon are awesome. I've been to the shop numerous times and even introduced 2 other customers. I'm constantly recommending them to friends. I took in a handgun and had them install new sights on it for me and did a great job and were quick. They go above ...

Re: My worst investment..
Sounds like a great truck gun if it's as reliable as you say. I say send the slide (and maybe the barrel) to wmdguns and have them nickel boron coat it for roughly $80 (for the slide alone)... They'll also clean the rust for you for a bit extra. I would rather have that than send it back to Ruger fo...

Re: New member looking for pocket carry option
Another vote for Remora holsters. My wife and use them and they're great! As far as small pocket guns we like the Beretta Nano, Keltec PF9, Sig P938, and a bit bigger the M&P Shield. The most comfortable to shoot is the Shield, although it is a bit larger than the others. It feels more like a la...

Thanks for sharing this story. It does seem like it was an aborted robbery. You handled it well and we're glad you made it home at the end of the day.

Re: Buying guns as a lady......
My wife has experienced idiotic men, usually customers, at Academy. I believe on 3 separate occasions. Once, a guy recommended a small pink gun. I don't recall what it was but at the time she just smiled and nodded. FWIW, my wife is fairly girly and loves the color pink, but does not have one pink g...

Re: Belly Band
My wife carries pretty much daily with her belly band! She finds that belly bands works best for her and she's a petite girl. She carries her Beretta Nano most of the time or her Keltec PF9. Being a smaller framed male, I also carried with a belly band for a few months to see how I liked it. It was ...

Re: Streamlight TLR1 on sale @ LAPolicegear.com ON SALE $99
Can get from Botach for the same price with free shipping They had a coupon code "TLR" for awhile, I got mine for 89 shipped, not sure if that's still active though Despite some other people's experience, I haven't had a bad experience with Botachtactical as of yet. I picked up the TLR1s ...
