avoid studying. the instructors will provide the "key information" for you during the day. I strongly disagree. Will the instructor provide the information mandated by the TXDPS course material? Absolutely. Will the class give you the "key information" necessary to pass the writ...

i know its been said, but when you leave the house lock up your guns or carry them with you. it is a minor PITA but could save you a lot of trouble.

Re: Can I carry into a shooting range?

most ranges i have been to are fine with concealed carry. just check on there policy on drawing. some place you can draw from concealed and fire, others, you can draw and place the weapon down then begin to fire.

Re: Insurance, yes or no?

i use [Pre-paid legal service]. i would rather take the chance that the 10 bucks a month will cover me in some way than not. plus at 10 bucks a month its worth the risk if it pays off in the end. IMHO

Re: In chamber or no?

in chamber i carry a beretta 92a1 17+1 hammer down since my beretta is double action i carry with one in the pipe and the hammer down and safety off. the trigger pull in DA is about 9-13 pounds i would guess. great this way as i dont have to rely on any fine motor skills to ready the weapon. im not ...
