And as far as carry holsters, you should check out Crossbreed. I just ordered mine last week after extensive research. I am a smaller framed guy too, and I have a Taurus 740 slim. Just search you-tube for crossbreed holsters and you will find lots of videos of guys wearing full size guns like 1911's and you can barely see them under their shirts.

I just got mine done at Texas Handgun Academy. They do classes 7 days a week which makes for small classes and they have their own in house range so you get the shooting test done the same day.
