I'm much more worried about loose livestock or dogs than people. 15 miles either way to a town, and I'm on the county road in the middle that leads to nowhere. During last night's run I heard exactly two cars drive by on the highway, zero drove by on the county road. No one is going to lay in wait for someone to jog by, only 10 people live on this 4 mile stretch and I'm the only one up past 10PMMolon_labe wrote:Why are you running in the dark down a "spooky" road?
Don't you know the badguys like it when its dark, people can't see them as well doing their dirty work
I suggest finding a better place and time to run bud, kinda asking for trouble...
Rich dude : "Hey should I park my Ferrari here in the 3rd ward overnight"
Rich dude : "Why did my Ferrari get stolen....WHHHHHY?"

Jogging Carry
How do you do it? I wear jogging shorts with a velcro pocket for my ID. I wear a keltec P3AT with the pocket clip on my leather snap-on mechanic belt @ 6 o'clock.
Seems to work pretty well, I just started jogging at my college residence again...which is on a spooky county road. I headed out for a three mile run at about 1AM in that hunter's moon. I was engaged by numerous cows hiding in the moonlight and one dog which thankfully was stopped by a fence. Made me feel much more comfortable carrying instead of traveling lite.
