Just wanted to update everyone. Tom went back into surgery and it appears to have been a success. He's now back in the transitional care unit and hopefully on the road to recovery this time.
I just got off the phone with Tom. He's headed back into surgery tomorrow and they're going to open him up and try again to fix what apparently they failed at the first time. It's much more serious now and the potential for complete recovery is much less than before.
He needs your thoughts and prayers now more than ever.
Visited with Tom today in the hospital. He's had a pretty serious setback and will not be going home soon.
Please crank up the prayers because they are needed.
I printed this entire post and took it with me this morning when my friend and I went to visit with Tom. He's recovering as expected but still has at least 2 weeks to go before they'll let him go home.
Tom says thank you all. I say, keep the prayers coming and I will print this out again and take next week.
A couple of weeks ago, our friend Tom Clore (TomC) went to the VA hospital in Dallas seeking help for pain in his hip and he is still there. He was admitted and required surgery, which was successful and he was moved to the Transitional Care unit last night.
A mutual friend and I went and visited with Tom this morning. He is in good spirits and is receiving good care. Right now, it's estimated that he will remain in the TCU for approximately 3 weeks. I plan to visit with him again next week and will pass along prayers and well wishes for his comfort and speedy recovery.
