I just got back to FTW and I am beat. It was an awesome match and many kudos to all that made it happen.

My performance was less than stellar but I had a great time and learned a lot.

Three things I learned

1) I cannot count without using my fingers
2) Non threat targets don't get double taps to the head
3) It's not enough to listen to the course description, I actually need to follow it when I'm shooting.

There will be a lot of dry fire practice and many local matches for me between now and this time next year.
I will be back.

If I get there before 8pm on Friday for check in, what time do I need to be at the range on Saturday morning? I'm in squad 2.

I've read the PSC-IDPA website and I see that there will be BBQ at the match but I have a few questions regarding other aspects.

Are there going to be any vendors there? Ammo, holster, concealment gear etc?

Also, having never been there, will I be able to back my truck up to a spot that will allow my wife to setup the big umbrella and chairs and still be able to see the action?

If I bring a big extension cord, will there be a place for me to plug it in?

Thanks,
Gary

Oh yeah, I have no problem eating.

I have been told to bring 250 rounds and that will be more than enough.

Cool! Jason, you and your wife will have a place to hang out in the shade because I bought one of those receiver hitch BIG umbrella mounts for the back of the truck and plan to have a cooler full of bottled water, gatorade, snacks, etc, on the tailgate, as well as some folding chairs.
My wife Brenda will be taking video and stills as well as helping keep the mags loaded if I get in a time crunch.

I am so excited I can barely contain myself! :hurry:

I just might get classified in time to shoot in this! :fire
If all goes as planned I'll get classified on the 27th.
Anyone else from DFW area planning to make the trip?
