Thanks Carlson. I look forward to your impression of the holster. That said, my impatience may not let me wait. I might have make a purchase and if I don’t like it I’ll learn the hard way...as I’ve done before
Thanks and God bless

Re: Garrett Industries Silent Thunder OWB?
I should have been more specific regarding the Silent Thunder. The Silent Thunder STX 2.0 is the holster I’m considering. While not a pure pancake design, it it not a paddle. It appears to be more closely akin to the Tucker HF series of holsters. Any thoughts regarding the STX 2.0? Thanks and God bl...

Garrett Industries Silent Thunder OWB?
Being a leather holster guy, I don’t have much experience with kydex. Has anyone used the Silent Thunder and if so what was your impression with regard to quality, how well it conceals, comfort and any other observations. Thanks and God bless.

Re: Jones Hall CHL ?
Just to be sure I'm understanding correctly, a city owned facility, such as Jones Hall, cannot legally post a 30.06 sign...correct?
The city owned library in Baytown has a sign prominently displayed on the entrance doors. I presume their sign to be unenforceable.
Thanks,
Joel

Jones Hall CHL ?
Several family members and I will be attending an event at Jones Hall this week. Is Jones Hall correctly posted? Not worried about being in the hall but the trip to and from the car. I've done a search but could not find recent information regarding carry at Jones Hall
Thanks.
Joel
Thanks.

Intrastate Shipment of a Handgun
This is not exactly a CHL question but it is a question on legality, so moderator please feel free to move it. Apologies if it is in the wrong place. That said, here goes! I read a post in another forum that it is legal to send a handgun by common carrier (UPS, FedEx) intrastate. The logic was that ...

Waiting Since June
Back in June I took the course to renew my CHL. As soon as the class was completed I sent in all the documentation. After some period of time, in fact, just before the hurricane hit, a letter came in the mail from the DPS stating that my finger prints were not readable and I must submit new cards. T...

Re: Pennsylvania License
What I find really interesting here is that if you live in a state that does not have a CHL program, then you can get a Pennsylvania (and New Hampshire and perhaps other states as well) CHL with no paperwork. No class, no fingerprints, no intrusive federal background check, etc. According to the pa...

Pennsylvania License Good for Texas Resident???
Last Saturday my wife and I attended a CHL class for my third renewal and her initial license. One of the instructors stated that we should expect to wait up to 6 months for our licenses to return due to a tremendous backlog being experience by DPS because of an increase in applicants. He also sugge...

WTT: Smith Model 686 CS-1
This ad is to offer for trade a 4" barrel Model 686 CS-1 (no box or papers; does have original grips) in excellent condition for a Colt Government or Commander 9mm in like condition. Prefer a FTF trade in the Houston area but will not rule out shipping. Also would consider (not certain that I w...

Hammer bite...ouch!
I hope this is the proper place on the forum to ask this question. If not, please forgive me and moderators move it to the right place. I asked this question on the 1911 Forum also. I recently acquired a Springfield GI WWII .45. The standard spur hammer and grip safety bite me, especially when shoot...

Mithras61, Thanks for pointing me to the topic discussion in the Instructor's Corner. As you can tell from my post count, exactly 1, I am new here and still feeling my way around. Great site and glad I found it. Liberty, I didn't take it seriously when my friend e-mailed, but just wanted to be sure....
