My uniform consists of a button up shirt untucked, and blue jeans. I'm leaning toward just pocket carrying my TCP. And if i purchase the XDS I'll probably just put it in my tool box during the days I'm actually having to work :thumbs2:

By the way my plastic Mailed on the 6th or 7th of Feb. :thewave

Re: Mechanic Carrying Advise

The ankle rig crossed my mind, But I just don't know if I would be comfortable with the time it would take me to retrieve it. Being new to concealing I don't like the idea of carrying say ankle at work and IWB away from work... Not sure how well I would adapt to two different positions, and maybe having to think about where it is in the case I suddenly needed it. I think I'm going to just try my TCP with my IWB and see if maybe I can get used to just not laying on my right side. Thanks to all once again for the suggestions.

Is this because of the XD being a striker fired pistol?
(edit because I wanted to word it different)

Re: Mechanic Carrying Advise

Thanks for all the replies, I'm rather busy today so I'll have to do a little research on the suggestions tonight. Right now I have a Taurus TCP .380, I have considered pocket carry with it. But I am strongly considering the Springfield XDS when it becomes available.
Thanks again for all the suggestions!

Mechanic Carrying Advise

I am about two weeks out from receiving my plastic. Any advise of how to carry and still be able to move around on a creeper? I have a IWB holster, and I'm real sure if I try to lay on my right side it's going to hurt. My only thoughts are just don't lay on my right side... but I'm not sure that's always possible. Just thought I'd ask someone with some experience.
