Re: A word about small CC guns

Wife found some unexpected cash in an old bank account-- told me to "Just go buy that Nano-thingy gun for Xmas from me and STOP TALKING ABOUT IT!" (I guess I'll keep her around for another 23 years). I couldn't find it at the local gun show (small show) but was able to get the display model at Bass Pro Shop, except that when I got home I realized there was not a manual in the case(?). I guess I'll have to get from Beretta or online; thankfully, Guns and Ammo had a very thorough review of the Nano last issue. Hope to do some shooting this weekend and compare to my P238, although I can't see myself parting with my little Sig-- I love that pretty little gun!

Re: A word about small CC guns

Appreciate the GREAT input/advice from the more experienced (note I never said "older") shooters. I also understand the better stability and accuracy of larger guns but have to have a pocket gun for my size/dress/line of work, which is why I wholeheartedly agree with the P238 advocates-- it is a great, easy-shooting and accurate pocket gun. It is also a beauty, IMHO. I have been looking for just the right 9mm pocket gun but can't find it. Just me, but the long trigger pulls in the LC9 and LCR (I know, not 9mm) resulted in me being a crappy shot with both, whereas I can quickly shoot very good groups (for me) with the P238. I've made the mental trade-off and will settle for lower power but far more accuracy with my .380 vs 9mm (again, in a small pocket gun-- I'll shoot .40 or .45 at home). I shoot ok with the Kahrs and may give them another try. Rohrbaugh is a little too pricy and finicky by reputation, Kimber Solo not bad but my range gun had a lot of FTF/FTE issues, Keltec just feels cheap. I'm going to give the Beretta Nano a good look but so far my P238 is my confident pocket gun.
